Phuket Fun Activities : Versatile, Stable, Comfortable, Easy to Handle, and Fun for the entire family – Canoes are a great way to explore the sea around Phuket. On the northern part of the island’s east coast is Phang Nga province. Phang Nga Bay has hundreds of beautiful limestone towers, as well as a secret world of caves, tunnels and interior lagoons (known locally in Thai as ‘Hong’). This part of the island is suitable to explore all year round, as it is naturally sheltered.

The best way to enter these seascapes is by canoe or kayak when the tide is right. Canoeing is a perfect way to enjoy eco-tourism ant any age. The whole family can make a quiet approach that does not intrude on the local wildlife and allows slow exploration of the unique mangrove forests and fantastic scenery.

There are a handful of canoeing operators offering daytrip packages as well as overnight trips. A daytrip to Phang Nga Bay can cost from couple thousand Baht person including roundtrip transfer and lunch, which is a great value. Kids can enjoy learning about wildlife and especially like looking for mudskippers.

Phang Nga Bay is also where the famous James Bond Island located. This small island is where ‘The man with the Golden Gun’, starring Roger Moore and Christopher Lee, was filmed in 1974. Climbing Rock, climbing is a challenging activity allowing you to discover your strengths along the rugged limestone cliffs at Ao Railey in Krabi province. Rock climbing here is easy with the full option of equipment. Its fun, cheap, safe and convenient; and most importantly, you can have the challenge of a lifetime climbing a scenic mountain with a rewarding cool breeze waiting at the top.

Rafting, White-water rafting is another adventure tour especially for the rainy season, from mid-May to mid-October. You can enjoy this eco-activity at Song Prek National Forest, in the nearby area of Ton Pariwat Waterfalls in Phang Nga province. White-water rafting is much sportier than bamboo rafting; buy you will still be able to admire the natural surrounds. Don’t worry, although it’s a bit challenging, you will be safe with life jackets, helmets and full equipment.

Scuba Diving, Phuket and other islands along the Andaman coast offer prime dive sires, for example: Koh Yao, Koh Hai, Koh Racha, Koh Tao and Koh Pangan. If you are a beginner, many dive schools offer open water scuba diving. As you would expect, Phuket has many dive sites of a world standard – with pristine and spectacular beauty where divers and get close to many marine creatures like sharks and sea turtles, as well as spectacular coral reefs. The Surin island group is recommended for its natural beauty and diversity of marine life and coral reefs, as well as clear waters. December through April is the beat time for diving.

Elephant Trekking, Elephant trekking is a unique eco-tourism experience popular among groups and adventurous holidaymakers. This activity allows you the chance to see natural wonders of tropical forests at a slow pace, with a bit of an adventurous appeal.

Other Activities, You can go straight on site for the excitement of a Bungy Jump, a speedy day in a Go-Kart and or a tumbling ride on an ATV with to 1 to 3 hours through the forest.
